Run a 100 Miler Long-Term Running Goals: Never Stop Running
Personal: Im 21 and currently living in Hawaii studying Biomedical Science. I was raised in Saint George Utah and started running when I was 14 or so because I broke my arm and couldnt play basketball, but wanted to keep active. That led to some of the best times of my life running with my friends for Desert Hills XC. I ran a bit in College at BYU Hawaii and look to continue growing as a runner and staying in shape now that I'm back. Favorite Blogs: |

| | I ran with coach Schag for the first time since I left on my mission. We ran up to Kuhuku and I was feeling it. We hit the golf course loop and I was reminded once again what a special place this is. Beautiful Sunrise. We threw golf balls and tried to make em in one of the holes, lets just say I should stick to running...

| | I ran up to the Laie Summit trailhead, through some plantations, got some water at Laie Park and hit Hukilau swam at sunset with some kids i knew from work then ran home barefoot along the sand and climed up the secret way to my house.
Later that night I came home and the house was COVERED in roaches. Big black flying ones. There were at least 20-30 inside the house it was so nasty. I killed a bunch and grabbed my phone and wallet and left. Slept at my boy Nicks house. Crazy stuff.

| | on my run I startled a chicken and it flew into the road right as a car was coming and got compleTELY DEMOLISHED!! In one second it went from a living breathing animal to a BURST OF FEATHERS right before my eyes hahaha. Now I know that chickens definately can get to the other side.
other than that pretty uneventful run. I went up into the hills towards Gunstock.

| | Ive been waiting on this lady to come fix my moped. I waited all afternoon she said she was on her way. shows up at 10:30 pm, its pouring rain, Braden (my brother) was still woozy from his sea urchin accident/strep throat/ jet lag coming back from fiji, but after an hour or so we got Dirty Harry back up and running.
not a run just something id like to remember down the road.

| | Got some new Altras today. they are sweeeet. I took em out and im super impressed. I love the zero drop in a trail shoe felt like the sandals but with some grip.
I did 6 lonley millas out to old baldy (water tank hill) found a couple of old trailheads we used to run back during College Ball. I kept it under 8 mins/mile (although I still needed to rest for a bit at the top...)
Greatful for: banana bread. Dave Kunen made me some today

| | I started off just seeing if I could even run 10 miles alone but I kept up a pretty fast pace and turns out I ran 10 miles in just over an hour which is quicker than my marathon pace so I am feeling very optimistic. I felt good at the end too. didnt feel very spent. I couldve hit a 1:30 half marathon easily.
very good signs. motivation to keep training.

| | Ran late at night. Listened to music on a run for the first time in years I was so distracted I ran 5 miles and so I had to run the 5 back with blistered feet. serves me right for not listening to my body i guess. First long run in sandals since college ball.
